THINGS TO DO! Week of August 13-16, 2018

We are on vacation here in This Connecticut house! It’s more of a stay-cation but we like those sometimes.  It’s nice to get out and explore your own backyard! I’m trying to make the most of our last two weeks of summer, especially considering this rather miserable weather.  Even if it’s not raining, it still feels like you’re swimming in soup!

Fortunately, there’s plenty to do indoors. Libraries are starting to wind down their summer programs, and you’ll find that some have started their short break until school starts up.  But there are still many libraries with tons of great events.

Outdoor movies and concerts are also winding down- many of the ones on this week’s calendar are the last ones. But you will find that carnivals are starting up though. In fact, we will be posting our Carnival Guide this week.

I also am working on a library review and a great local park.  So watch for those! If you haven’t signed up for our newsletter, make sure you do so you can get all of our new posts delivered right to your email!

Enjoy this next week!
