It’s the last week of November! 

We are so excited to have met and surpassed the 1,000 mark on Facebook! Thank you again everyone! 

The week is full of story times, open play and even a few holiday events! For ongoing holiday events, you’ll want to make sure you check out our Holiday Guide

Coming up – I am excited to tell you all about our special Christmas ride on board our favorite number 1 blue engine!  And on December 1, I’ll help you get in the holiday spirit with our new Bucket List! Watch for it this week!

From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., children can bounce for only $10. Parents and children under 2 are free. Remember your socks! See our Blog Post   

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., open play is available for everyone. The cost is $10 per child and adults are free with a child. Adults are only allowed with kids under 12. See our Blog Post

At 10:30 a.m., children ages birth to 4 are invited to play and have fun with new friends during this one hour of free play. Drop in. See our Blog Post.

Tuesday, November 28, 2017  

From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., bring your little ones (crawlers to age 4) for an open play session with ball pits, bounce house, climbing toys and much more! Admission is just $5 per child! See our Blog Post.

From 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., the playgroup is open to all children ages 0 to 6. Children are free to explore the gym, play and socialize with other children. The cost is $5 per child. See our  Blog Post.

At 10:30 a.m., enjoy this music and movement program with songs, games, and dancing! For ages 1 to 4. Drop in. See our Blog Post.

At 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m., roll out some clay-dough and make your own play spaghetti, cookies, doughnuts and more. Learn how to roll with the best as special guest chefs from local restaurants teach you their trade!  Free for museum members and with general admission. See our Blog Post.

At 10:30 a.m., drop in for stories, songs, finger plays and a craft. For ages 3 to 5. See our Blog Post.

At 10:30 a.m., enjoy storytime and a special craft with your child. Free. 

At 10:30 a.m., drop in for a storytime with stories, songs, a short book-related movie, a snack and a special craft. For ages 3 and up. See our Blog Post.

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., toddler time is a special indoor bounce time for the littles. This is for children ages 6 and under. The cost is $10 for one child and parent for one hour of jump time. Additional children are $8 for one hour.

From 10 a.m. to 12 a.m., come skate, play with scooters, jump in the bounce house and play with other toys during this toddler time.  Admission is $6.75 for children, includes skate rental, use of bounce house, and a snack.  Parents are free, but if you want to rent skates, that will cost extra. At 10:15 a.m., drop in for this lap-sit program with your baby, ages one and under. There will be live music and movement, a short read-aloud story, nursey rhymes, finger plays and wiggles. See our Blog Post.

At 10:30 a.m., bring your little ones for a special story time with board books, finger plays, songs and gentle movement. For ages birth to 2 years. Drop-in. See our Blog Post.

At 11 a.m., drop in for this toddler and walker story time with live music and movement, read-aloud stories, finger plays, action songs, sign language and parachute play. For ages 1 to 3. See our Blog Post.

From 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., toddler time is a special indoor bounce time for the littles. This is for children ages 6 and under. The cost is $10 for one child and parent for one hour of jump time. Additional children are $8 for one hour.

From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., the Museum will hold a special Winterfest night for Museum Members. Additionally, general visitors can also join in the fun by donating a toy at the Museum for the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center Toy Drive. The Museum will give half off admission for every toy donated. At least one toy needs to be donated per party and can only be donated at this event. For more information, visit the Museum’s website. From 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., come learn about the CREC magnet schools and your child’s options for a great education! Visit each table to learn about the schools and get your passport stamped! Each school will have a hands-on activity for the students to participate in.

From 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., skate for only $10 including rented roller skates and enjoy all you can eat pizza.  See our Blog Post

At 6:30 p.m., wear your pajamas and bring your favorite stuffed animal for stories, a craft and music. For ages 3 to 7. Drop-in. See our Blog Post.

At 6:30 p.m., enjoy a holiday sing-along, tree lighting, pictures with Santa, free hot chocolate and cookies and lots of entertainment! Donations of a non-perishable food item will be collected.

From 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., enjoy this grown up shopping night with snacks, shopping, raffles, games and more!
