THINGS TO DO! Weekend of January 18-21, 2019 (Long Weekend!)

Alright everyone, brace yourselves, the first big storm of winter is coming. Tonight, it is supposed to snow a little bit, sort of an appetizer to the big whopper coming on Saturday night.  I mean, it’s New England, are we really surprised. January seems to be the new start of winter these past several years.

With that being said, this calendar is completely susceptible to change. In fact, you can probably count on Sunday being an stay home day; but just in case the weathermen are wrong (not like that ever happens), you have a calendar of events to keep you busy.

It’s also a long weekend – so hopefully we are not stuck indoors for half of the weekend. Monday is supposed to be FREEZING but if you can get out of the house, I’d suggest it. There are some great free programs going on that day, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. You’ll also find most children’s museums open on Monday (including the ones that typically are closed).  And there will be plenty of indoor play options throughout the area – we have a great list to help you out with that.  Libraries will be closed so make sure you don’t show up for your usual Monday storytimes.

Stay warm, stay sane and hopefully you can get out of the house!

**Please please please, check before you head out that an event is still happening. Winter is officially here and things do get canceled/delayed/postponed when there is bad weather. I cannot always update the calendar with cancellations, so it is important that you click on the links provided or call before you head out.
