This Connecticut Mom’s Guide to Cheap Eatin’ with the Littles

Dining out with little ones can be exhausting, and sometimes just doesn’t seem like it’s worth the hassle. Until you discover restaurants that offer free, or really cheap meals, for kids. That makes it worth it! 

Here is a list of restaurants (sit down and fast food) where kids eat FREE or cheap in Connecticut.  The list also includes restaurants that have fun family events.  

You’ll notice Tuesday is the most popular day, so start clearing your calendar on Tuesdays and go out with the family for a cheap night of dining! 

**Some locations may not participate, and these offers are always subject to change. Please call to confirm with the restaurant before heading out for dinner.  

Every Day

• Bobby V’s: Locations in Stamford & Windsor Locks.  Kids Eat FREE all day, every day with the purchase of an adult entree or burger.
• Chick-Fil-a:  Kids Meals for under $4 (includes entree, side and drink). For more information on dining at the Enfield location, see our post here. 
• McDonald’s:   Happy Meals are under $4 (includes entree, french fries, fruit or yogurt and drink).

Sports Promotions

• Ninety Nine Restaurant & Pub:  Kids Eat FREE when the Red Sox win! Visit the day after the Red Sox win, and you’ll receive a free kids meal with the purchase of an adult meal. For ages 10 and under. Available in Red Sox nation only (excludes Stratford & Danbury) 
• Red Robin: Kids Eat FREE when the Hartford Yard Goats win! Visit the day after the Yard Goats win, and you’ll receive a free kids meal with the purchase of an adult meal. Monday

• Hot Table :  Kids eat FREE after 4 p.m. (Enfield location) 
• Friendly’s:  From 4 p.m. to close, kids meals are only $1.99. Participating locations.
• TGI Fridays: Kids eat free with purchase of adult entrée. Participating locations.
• Buffalo Wild Wings: Kids (12 and under) can order from the kids menu for either $0.99 or $1.99 when accompanied by a paying adult. Price depends on the location. Participating locations.

Tuesday

•  Sonic: From 5 p.m. to close, enjoy family night with half-priced cheeseburgers (single patties only). At participating Sonic Drive-ins.
• TGI Fridays : Kids eat free with purchase of adult entrée. Participating locations.
• IKEA:  Kids eat FREE (up to 2) with one adult. Otherwise, kids meals are just $2.49. For more information, see our post here. 
• Friendly’s:   From 4 p.m. to close, kids meals are only $1.99. Participating locations.
• Denny’s:  From 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., kids eat FREE with the purchase of an adult meal. painting. Participating locations.
• Moe’s:  After 5 p.m., kids eat FREE with the purchase of an adult entree.  Participating locations.
• Ruby Tuesday: From 5 p.m. to close, kids eat FREE with the purchase of an adult entree. Participating locations.
• Chick-fil-A Enfield: From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., enjoy a FREE kids meal with the purchase of an adult meal or salad entree. For kids 10 and under. 
• Texas Roadhouse: Kids eat free with purchase of adult entrée. Participating locations.
• Uno Pizzeria and Grill: Kids get a free meal with the purchase of an adult entrée.  Participating locations.
• Smashburger:  From 5 p.m. to close, kids eat FREE with the purchase of an adult entrée at participating locations. Participating locations. 

Wednesday

•  Friendly’s:   From 4 p.m. to close, kids meals are only $1.99. Participating locations.
• Jake’s Wayback: Kids eat free all day with the purchase of an adult combo meal! At participating Connecticut locations only. 
• Qdoba Mexican Grill: Kids get a free meal with the purchase of an enchilada entrée. Participating locations.
